Atlanta Falcons Punter Michael Koenen recieved the non-exclusive franchise tender on Thursday, on Friday the four-year veteran signed it.
Koenen knew he would not recieve a better offer on the open market, as no team would trade to first round draft choices for a punter, in fact no team has ever given two first rounders for any player at any position by offering more than the franchise tender.
The one-year contract that pays him $2.48 million
