The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traded some undisclosed draft picks for talented TE Kellen Winslow Jr., son of the Hall of Fame TE with the same name.
"Cleveland was great to me," he said in Tampa. "I had a great time playing with Braylon Edwards, Brady Quinn. I'm going to miss those guys. But it's also a new opportunity. I've played with some of the guys on this team — Jeff Faine, Antonio Bryant, Luke McCown. I'm as happy as can be. I'm healthy."
Winslow returns to the state where he starred in college. An extremely athletic and talented player Winslow is mostly remembered for his off-the-field antics rather than his play.
*UPDATE* More details have been revealed in the Bucs/Brown Trade it appears that the Bucs gave up a 2nd round pick in the 2009 draft and a 5th in the 2010 draft for Winslow.
Also the Bucs and Winslow's representatives are negotiating a new contract.
