The Chicago Bears have released WR Marty Booker, the receiver has been struggling with injuries and doesn't appear to be playing at his former pro-bowl level. The Bears have also released linebacker Gilbert Gardiner and waived linebacker Marcus Riley.
Booker returned to the team where he started his career after spending 4 years down in Miami, he was halfway through a 2-year deal he signed in March. Booker had just 14 catches for 211 yards and two touchdowns while bothered by knee, hamstring and rib problems.
In his career, Booker has 523 receptions for 6,522 yards and 36 touchdowns.
