The New York Giants had a successful dinner yesterday with free agent LB Michael Boley, it was so successful that Boley decided to have all his dinners in New York from now on, as he and the Giants have decided on a five-year $25 Million contract with more than $10 Million guaranteed
Boley, 26, spent the past four years in Atlanta, he played in all 64 regular-season games for the Falcons, but he lost his starting job late last season. He's 6'3", 223 lbs and is particularly adept dropping into coverage.
This signing fills a need of the Giants at weakside line backer or "Will" backer, where the G-men had inconsistent play from the trio of Chase Blackburn, rookie Bryan Kehl and Gerris Wilkinson.
Boley will likely now move in as the permanent starter.
