The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to get WR Antonio Bryant signed to a long term extension. If the team is unable to get the deal done before Thursday, they have made it clear they will use the franchise tag to keep him in Tampa.
Bryant, 27, posted career marks for receptions (83), receiving yards (1,248) and touchdowns (7) in 2008, his first season with the Bucs. If given the franchise tag, Bryant would be in line to make $9.884 Million for 2009.
