Maurice Hicks has been cut by the Minnesota Vikings. Hicks joined the Vikings as a free agent last March after spending four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
Hicks was signed to a three-year contract because of his ability on kick returns. In his time with the 49ers, he averaged 22.9 yards on 185 returns. With the Vikings, Hicks averaged 23.8 yards on 29 returns for the Vikings but missed the first two games because of a sprained foot and then was inactive for three games late in the season.
