The Washington Redskins have added some kicking competition for incumbent starter Shaun Suisham with the announcement that they have signed kicker Dave Rayner.
Drafted out of Michigan State in the sixth round of the 2005 draft by Indianapolis Rayner has also had stops in Green Bay, Cincinnati, Kansas City and San Diego.
Competition is needed in Washington as Suisham made 26 of 36 attempts last season, the worst accuracy rate among kickers with more than 10 attempts.
