The New York Jets have decided to terminate the contract of CB David Barrett, the 9th year player who joined the Jets in 2004. This move will save the team $5.1 million on the salary cap.
Barrett played in 11 games last season, with 1 start, and notched 18 tackles, 0.5 sack and 1 interception. Barrett started his career in 2000 with the Arizona Cardinals.
