The Majestic Real Estate Co. has recieved approval from the city of Industries planning commission for a proposal to build a football stadium which will hopefully bring an NFL team back to Los Angeles.
The $800 million venue will be built in the industrial and warehousing city 15 miles east of Los Angeles, if a team will commit to moving.
Officials with developer Majestic Real Estate Co. have said they'll begin contacting NFL teams about a possible move if the City Council gives final approval to the plan on Feb. 26. Majestic intends to pay for the stadium with private funds and start construction as soon as a team has committed to playing there.
A Handful of teams may be interested in a move to L.A., and rumors have already begun to appear. San Diego has been trying its hardest to deny rumors of the teams interest in moving, along with New Orleans and Minnesota. The L.A. Stadium may also interest the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders who have been approached by the NFL with a proposal for the two franchises to share a stadium.
