Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed has elected to not play in this seasons Pro Bowl, as he recovers from a shoulder injury. His replacement will be Tennessee Titans second-year man Michael Griffin.
Griffin tied for second in the NFL with 7 interceptions 81 tackles and a sack. He will be joining 7 other teammates in Hawaii. Strong safety Chris Hope, cornerback Cortland Finnegan, defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, center Kevin Mawae, running back Chris Johnson, offensive tackle Michael Roos and quarterback Kerry Collins have also been voted to the Pro Bowl.
"It was a blessing to be an alternate with all of the great safeties in our conference, but to actually get the chance to go is a huge blessing. All I can do is thank God for this opportunity," Griffin said. "It's going to be great being out there with some of my Titans teammates, friends and family."
