Eagles safety and soon to be free agent Brian Dawkins is in Tampa Bay this week to take part in charity events and also as a finalist for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
During his interview there he addressed his desire to return to Philadelphia and said he felt confident he would be back. Head coach Andy Reid assured him of that there would be contract discussions sometime soon.
"I think both sides want to get something done, and that's a positive thing going into any negotiations," Dawkins said after helping build a playground in the Jackson Heights section of Tampa.
Dawkins would not get specific on the number of years or dollar amount he expected from this contract but aknowledged it will likely be his last.
