Nissan has started removing vehicles from a Mississippi dealership owned by former New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister.
About 20 cars and trucks were loaded on tractor-trailers and McAllister says he is still seeking investors to help pull the dealership out of bankruptcy.
McAllister filed for Chapter 11 protection last month after Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. filed a federal civil suit. Nissan says McAllister owed nearly $7 million, mostly in unsold vehicles sitting on his lot.
McAllister says Nissan has the right to remove the vehicles, but he still believes he will be able to return the business to solvency.
The dealership is one of two in Jackson owned by McAllister, who became a free agent after he was released by the Saints.
