Patriots Trade for Lewis

The Philadelphia Eagles have completed a trade with the New England Patriots, with the Eagles sending Greg Lewis to the Patriots. The Eagles received a fifth-round pick from the Patriots, who also get Philadelphia's seventh-round pick in 2010, according to a person familiar with the trade.

Lewis is now joining the team against which he scored his first professional touchdown, a touchdown which came in the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XXXIX. Lewis will be teaming up with Randy Moss and Wes Welker as the likely replacement for the recently jettisoned Jabar Gaffney.

The 29-year-old Lewis has 127 receptions for 1,699 yards and seven TDs in 90 career games. He also has nine catches for 180 yards and a touchdown in nine playoff games.
