Ray Lewis tried his hardest to leave Baltimore in search of money this offseason, but apparently his financial demands were 'exorbitant' and nobody was willing to pay for a 14-year veteran whose skills are diminishing.
His feelings hurt he returned to Baltimore in search of a contract, he found one, one that will never allow him to face the embarrassment of his ego versus the open market again. Lewis has signed a 7-year deal to finish out his career as a Raven, locking him up until 2015.
The 33-year old MLB will make a reported $10 Million in the first year on the incentive laiden contract. According to NFL.com in his career, Lewis has 911 tackles, 33.5 sacks to go with 28 int's, 1 safety and 2 TD's.
